Projects:
I'm writing a novel. More details to come later. 👀
My spouse and I are also in the early planning stages of making a short film together! I'm excited to apply knowledge from my film degree back into a no-budget, cast-as-crew kind of project. That's what my high school film classes were like, and those still stand out as the most satisfying films I've made. Maybe I'll put some of those old videos back online sometime.
Reading and Watching:
Eagerly awaiting my pre-order of John Green's newest book (and will be eagerly waiting until late September).
On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I'm reading Bittersweet Candy Bowl. One day, I'll write a blog post all about it, I'm sure. Yesterday, I got my package from their Anniversary/Moving sale and I'm very excited about it! Among other things, I now have a physical copy of Not Enough Rings!
Otherwise, I'm currently healing from an injury, so I'm not being very productive. I've been re-watching a lot of old movies lately, mostly on DVD. Recently re-watched titles include The Incredibles, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Superbad, Daddy Day Care, Edward Scissorhands, School Of Rock, Nacho Libre, and Jojo Rabbit. I also watched Your Monster for the first time, which I liked despite calling the ending twist from the beginning (it did what it was doing really well).
